The Endorsement of Donald Trump by RFK Jr.: Who does it help? Who does it hurt?

The Endorsement of Donald Trump by RFK Jr.: Who does it help? Who does it hurt?

On Friday, in what a certain sect of America considered a major political move, independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced he would be suspending his campaign and endorsed former president Donald Trump. Kennedy made it very clear that he would not be ending his campaign, but that he would be taking his name off of the ballot of all swing states and states expected to go to Trump. The intention is clear unless you’re an absolute idiot: Kennedy is not really staying in the race, but if he can do anything to take one vote away from Kamala Harris, then he’s damn well going to try. The fact that the junior Kennedy was then announced as part of the transition team showed that it was obvious where his allegiances lie, which is interesting for a man who entered the election cycle as a democrat.

With Friday’s announcement, I thought I would look closely at Kennedy’s decision and ask the following questions: Who does this help? Who does this hurt? Where has the announcement of a political candidate supporting his previous rival moved the needle? Let’s dive in.

Dream Big, Why Not? – written by Jordan Holmes

Dream Big, Why Not? – written by Jordan Holmes

You have no imagination and you have less courage. Ah ha, you say, we get it, finally, let’s replace Biden, we’ve heard you!

Here’s what we’ll do, we’ll give Biden… but 20 years younger, or a woman, or something else, but at the end of the day, our idea is DO THE SAME FUCKING THING AGAIN! We are very smart. What are our ideas? I know, do the same fucking thing again. What’s our platform? Do the same fucking thing again, led by Biden who is 20 years younger or a woman or something else.

Why are you accepting that? Why, if now is the time to dream big, if now is the crisis point where we can influence the direction of the party, why would you dream of shit? Why not say the next President should be someone willing to say Go Fuck Yourself to an oil executive. What’s in Project 2025 is terrifying… because some of it is in everyone’s 2025 plan.

Do you think that push for deregulation is going to be stifled by people who could already do so? Why aren’t you dreaming of something impossible if you already think winning is impossible?

If you think getting a toy horse is impossible, you might as well dream of a real one.

Were You Lying? – written by Jordan Holmes

Were You Lying? – written by Jordan Holmes

I’ve been struggling deeply for the past week, I’ve been struggling with the same feeling I had during Alex Jones’ trial in Texas. I am bipolar, I am prone to mania, I’m prone to delusions of grandeur, so, in general, any time I think I can see something that the rest of the world cannot, I assume I am in the wrong.

Sometimes, I am suspicious that the rest of the world can, in fact, see what I see, and they are gaslighting me. I’m sure I’m right sometimes. But seeing the world through that lens will make you crazy, so no matter what the circumstances, it’s wiser to let it go.

But now, as in the trial, I know the rest of the world sees what I see and I know that the world is gaslighting me.

What’s more, what’s worse for my psyche, is that I know that when I talk to the TV, so to speak, the TV can hear me. I am fucking loud. I am not insane. I am not manic. I am not delusional.

All of you are out of your fucking minds.

Democracy is on the ballot

Nothing anyone says fucking matters anymore: A GOP guide to living…

Nothing anyone says fucking matters anymore: A GOP guide to living…

This week should have been momentous as Donald J. Trump, a man who somehow got voted president in 2016, was indicted. However, because it is Donald Trump, it’s completely and utterly mundane. Honestly, I’m not sure how many times he’s been indicted now. Three times? Six times? Who knows? All I know is that it happened and is probably going to happen again soon (if all things from Georgia seem like they’re going to happen) and will probably keep happening until the slimy fuck is in the ground.

Thanksgiving 2022: The week that was conservative bigotry

Thanksgiving 2022: The week that was conservative bigotry

This past week, if you are a fan of hatred and being a gross piece of shit, then the GOP was just giving you all you could handle and then some. This is the kind of stuff that always makes me roll my eyes, but especially when you consider this: when people talk about the crazy ideas that the “radical left” has, it’s always things like socialized medicine, a fair tax system, working to make sure we don’t destroy the earth, a fair living wage, and removing student debt. You know, things only real pieces of shit would want. Oh, and also, it would be great if police stopped murdering unarmed minorities.

What are some of the crazy ideas of the “far right”? I don’t know, because it’s the same ideas as the mainstream conservative movement.

Let’s dive in:

The Reasons Why Donald Trump May Announce His 2024 Presidential Campaign Shortly (and the one reason that is absolutely not true)

The Reasons Why Donald Trump May Announce His 2024 Presidential Campaign Shortly (and the one reason that is absolutely not true)

If you are to believe Alex Jones and Roger Stone, Donald Trump will be using the Independence Day holiday as the way to kick off his 2024 run for office of President Of The United States of America, a job he recently held until Joe Biden absolutely decimated him in the 2020 election. Now, short of mental illness, I’m not sure why anyone would trust anything Jones or Stone says, but I do think their prediction has a chance of coming true.

Let’s talk about why.

Tucker Carlson, Sydney Powell and Why Republicans Lie So Fucking Much

Tucker Carlson, Sydney Powell and Why Republicans Lie So Fucking Much

I cannot imagine it feels good to be called a liar whom no one should take seriously. I assume it would feel even worse if the person saying that about you is supposed to be an ally you trust. However, I have no idea what if feels like to have a person whom you trust say that about you because they’re using it as a legal defense… but I can’t imagine you’re feeling great, even if you’re the Kraken.

This is exactly what is happening in the defamation lawsuit right now that Dominion Voting Systems, Inc. has brought against Sydney “The Kraken” Powell for $1.3 billion (yes, with a “b”). Dominion is suing other people including former Trump attorney (and Razzie nominee) Rudy Giuliani and the guy who owns MyPillow, whose name I do not care enough to find out so I will just call him Mike Pillow.

I find these lawsuits fascinating, but there are three things that I am absolutely floored by as I’ve been following this story and thinking about how it relates to the state of modern conservative politics. The first is watching a lawyer argue that not only is their client a liar, but that everyone knows their client is a liar and no person who isn’t a fucking idiot should know not to take anything they say as a fact. The second is that Tucker Carlson, arguably the most viewed voice in conservative media, also used the same defense a few years ago. But it’s the third thing that’s maybe the most frightening to me, and should be the most terrifying to all of us:

Legally, this defense works.

Welcome to modern conservative politics.
