My name is David D. I don’t want to give my last name because what I’m about to say might upset some people. What I will say is that I’m a guy who lives in a red part of Pennsylvania. I have a job and a family and I love my town and my state and my country. In 2016, I voted for President Donald Trump and then I did it again in 2020, only to watch as the Deep State stole the election to put in Joe Biden. Like so many in my community, I was furious that America just stood by and let that happen. But here we are four years later with President Trump wanting my vote to help drain the swamp and take on the deep state and make the America I know and love great again. But I can’t give it to him. What’s the point?
I assumed the Republicans would be hellbent on trying to impeach Biden from the moment he put his hand on the bible. If they couldn’t get that done, the next best thing would be to try and put in new election laws to make sure this didn’t happen again. And I waited and waited and waited for that to happen. And it didn’t.
I think we just have to assume that until something major happens, America is just under the rule of the deep state. They stole the election in 2020 and nothing has changed. So why wouldn’t they try to steal it again in 2024? And why wouldn’t it work again? I cannot find a single reason that Kamala Harris will not win the election, even if Trump wins legitimately again. The game is rigged and I’m done playing.
Until I see real change that our country can hold elections fairly and freely, I’m gonna stay home election day. If my vote is just going to not be counted or be flipped, then no one gets my vote. I work a long day providing for my family. I’m staying home with them on November 5th. So is my wife. And our neighbors. And it’s what I suggest every week at the church where I’m a deacon.
I still love America. I hope that one day I can go into the voting booth with my head held high and know things will be fair. But that isn’t today.
