Last week, I was horrified when reading the stories of ICE agents in Chicago dragging naked children out of their beds and putting them in vehicles. And while I was disgusted by the behavior, I was even more upset to see the reaction of people online supporting it. Because, as with everything associated with this President, you may agree with the initial understanding of the most basic argument, but the way things are carried out with such inhumanity and callousness is just tragic and if you are in favor of it, then you are absolutely a bad person.

The Epstein list still has not been released and Republicans do not care.
Millions of Americans are going to lose their health care shortly and Republicans do not care.
Grocery prices have not gone down and Republicans do not care.
Gas prices have not goen down and Republicans do not care.
This first year of the second Trump administration has shown no real benefits for the average American and Republicans do not care.
They. Do. Not. Care.
And the reason they do not care is because it was never about these things. It was only about hate and bigotry. And we know the list all too well: Brown people, trans people, educators, the unhoused, big cities, women. Anything that MAGA feels threatened by.
As long as those people are being hurt and oppressed, Republican politicians know their voting base will keep coming to the polls, every other issue be damned. When a poll came out showing that 52% of America thinks that Trump is living up to his promises, that poll is accurate but not in the way CNN can report because of cowardice. It’s all about hate. The GOP wanted the physical manifestation of fear and hate and they’re getting it. Democrats saw that this was all about bigotry and now they are seeing it come to fruition.
