FBC 2022 Oscar Coverage, Part XI: The Comic Book Oscars! (2000-2021)

One of the things I have heard from nerds is that superhero movies get widely overlooked when it comes time to awards season. And my response to them is usually, “Shut up.”

I don’t really believe that argument. Movies based on comics are no more overlooked than action films or comedies, and there will always be films and performances that are snubbed. However, I also love comic book movies, so I will indulge my nerdy side for just a touch.

Using superhero movies and films based on comic books or graphic novels that were released from 2000-2021, here would be my nominees if I had a Comic Book Oscars. Let’s get nerdy!
