Rust and Revelry: Farewell to the Utah Jazz

The Utah basketball team was eliminated today. They fell in the decisive seventh game, conceding their 3-1 advantage in the series. We send them off into obscurity, flame cast out, with a poem.

Rust and Revelry

Rainfall o’er the valley
To nourish with the blood of life
To vanquish with the pow’r of gods
Grace and Wrath, indivisible

So, too, sails the gentle Earth
In all its rust and revelry
So comes the oft-told blessings
And all their dust and devilry

Mankind’s sacred vow
To raise upon the hill, a home to dwell
To raze all what’s divine and natural
Grace and Wrath, indivisible
